10. Data protection rights
The current legislation on data protection (Organic Law 15/1999), recognizes a number of rights to citizens, such as the right of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition of their personal data. The exercise of these rights is very personal, and must therefore be exercised directly by the interested parties before each of the persons responsible for/owners of the files, which means that you may contact each of the companies or public bodies, of which you know or presume to have your data, requesting information about what data they have and how they have obtained it (right of access), the rectification of these data, or where appropriate, the cancellation of the data in their files (right of cancellation). In this case, you should contact directly the person responsible for the file where your personal data are located, using any means that allows you to prove that your request has been sent and collected in order to exercise your rights, attaching a copy of your ID card and indicating the file or files to be consulted. If within one month from the reception of the application for the right of access in the referred office, it has not been properly attended, you may contact the Agency with a copy of the application submitted and the answer received (if any), so that the Agency may in turn contact the designated office in order to make effective the exercise of that right. In the above case, you may access the information sought if it is information on your personal data, but not if it is information on third parties. Indeed, the right of access cannot be exercised in intervals of less than 12 months, unless a legitimate interest is demonstrated. The forms for exercising your rights are available on this website, in the section Complaints and Claims. IMPORTANT: If you wish to exercise these rights, you may do so by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to the following addressLIMALOCA C/La Perla 10-12, local 1 08012 BARCELONA
